The present paper deals mainly with the wood structures of “Paramang- lietia aromatica” ttu & Cheng and Paramichelia (Pierre) Hu of the Magnoliaceae.These wood structures are listed in Table I.In comparison of their wood anatomical features with related genera,we find that (I) the wood anatomy of the reduced genus “Para- manglietia” Hu et Cheng is still within the range of Manglietia Dandy and that (2 the wood anatomical features of Paramichelia (Pierre) Hu is very similar to those of Michelia L.and Tsoongiodendron...

Abstract:This paper deals with morphological characters of a new species,(including one new species.one new variety and 4 new forma) Chimonan-thus baokansis of Chinese Calycanthaceae.A kind of tree to 3-13m.:lvs.elliptic-ovate to ovate-lanceolate,6.3-28.7cm.long and 3.2-11.2cm.wide,acuminate at top,rounded or cuneate at base,slightly pilose;petioles about 0.6-1.8cm.long fls.about 1.5-3.5cm.broad,very fragrant axillary and solitary.The perianth is in several overlapping ser-ies with gradual transiton from sepals to petals.The outermost in the serics isbractlike or scalelike,the remainders are distinctly Showy and petaloid.Theouter sepals are yellow,the inner sepals striped purple,base and unguiformslightly pilose;These,and the 5-8 stamens,are inserted in the rim of a thickcup-like receptacle.The stamens have short.pilose,free filaments andanthers with two locules which dehisce longitudinally in slitform.The inner-most stamens are sterile.(staminodas 7-9).There are 3-7(11)free carpels ins-erted inside of receptacle.The single locule of each carpel contains one or twosuperposed anatropous ovules.The fruits are one-seeded achenes enclosed in theenlarged fleshy and woody receptacle.The seeds have no endosperm,but a largeembryo with two spiral fleshy cotyledons.Besides,viewing from the morphology of its seedlings and the results thr-ough the scanning electron microscope of its pollen grains,oil cells,stomas,andits leaves cross section,the species of Chimonanthus baokanesis is noticeaballydifferent from its near kinship,and hence,it is surely a new taxa of thegenus.and viewing from the 2-colpate pollens,ladder-grained vessels and theoil cells,the Calycathaceae has the nearest kinship with Magnoliales.

本文报道了中国蜡梅属(Chimonanthus)一新种一变种和四变型,并进行了幼苗形态以及化粉、叶表面气孔“油细胞”以及导管等方面的扫描电镜研究,从花粉形态及导管形式看,蜡梅科(Calycathaceae)同木兰目(Magnoliales)亲缘更近.

The epidermal tissue of the O.Lamarckiana being dorsi—ventral leaf have unicellular epidermal hairs and glandular hairs, stoma being ranuc ulacous type(anamocytic type); the chloroplast being very big in the cell of the bilayer cell palisade parenchyma which is almost equal to the spongy parenchyma in the size of the thickness;the mesophyll finding out raphides and long—pocket oii cells;the upper and below parenchyma of the vein discovering the more oii cello; the large—scale veins belonging to the bicollateral vascular bunble and the small—scale ones to the collateral type;the basal leaf stack being short and including the extraordinary many raphides around which have a suberized membrance.

月见草种子油是医学上的重要用油。其种子油中含有具特殊生理活性的r—亚麻酸(GLA)为月见草种子油所特有。为了开发这一新油料植物资源。对其营养器官解剖构造进行深入的研究是必要的。本文是拉马克月见草叶解剖构造的研究。拉马克月见草为异面叶,表皮组织上具有单细胞具瘤的表皮毛和单细胞腺毛,气孔为毛茛型。栅拦薄壁组织两层,与海绵薄壁组织的厚度大体相等,细胞内的叶绿体较大。叶肉中含有针晶细胞与长囊形油细胞。叶脉上下方的薄壁组织中含油细胞特多。大型叶脉双韧型,小型叶脉外韧型。茎生叶柄短,含针晶细胞特多,针晶体具栓质膜包被。
