The Application of Biotechnology in Improvement of Tomato Cultivars
This experiment studied on the genetic relation and diversity of 2 tomato cultivars including Baoda 903, Zaofeng, and other 28 tomato crosses in Sichuan Agricultural University in tradition and RAPD methods.
Three grafting methods of various positions, 0-true leaf way (none of leaf in the rootstock), 1-true leaf way (one leaf in the rootstock) and 2-true leaf way(two leaves in the rootstock), were studied with the wild tomato Achilles--M used as rootstock and Momotaro tomato variety of Japan ed as scion.
The preliminary studies on seed surface sterilizing condition, cotyledon differentiation medium and the natural tolerance of Kanamycin and Cephalosporin, with tomato variety Zhong-shu 6 as tested material showed that the optimum seed surface sterilizing condition is 2 min 0.2% mercury.
