This paper mainly analyzes the pollution present situation of sulfur dioxide on atmospheric environment of Taiyuan city and reason causing ,puts forward nine preventive countermeasures such as combining original controlling with end treatment, combining treatment of pollution resources with city's comprehensive treatment, reinforcing the management of environmental protection and promoting cleaner production and so on.
