A method developing a 713 type conventional weather radar into dual linear polarization one has been introduced. The main procedures include adding a high-power microwave switch, remodeling the feed-system of the antenna into dual channel system, increasing the pulse repeatation frequency of the transmitter of the radar and supplying a necessary digitised data processing system. The technical performances of the main individual components have been descriped, too.

本文介绍了将713天气雷达改为双线偏振雷达的方法。即在713雷达上增加一只大功率微波开关,将天线馈源改为双通道,提高雷达发射机的脉冲重复频率和加设必要的数据处理系统后,使713雷达具有双线偏振探测能力。文中对各主要部件的技术指标亦作了介绍。

本文为了改装双线偏振雷达的需要,用扩展边界条件法计算了椭球形雨滴的后向散射截面、衰减截面及吸收截面,得出了任意谱参数情况下,可能产生的散射强度及差反射率因子Z_(DR)值的大小。给出了降雨强度、衰减系数和双线偏振雷达观测量间的关系。为双线偏振雷达定量测量降雨工作及讨论雨区对雷达波衰减打下了基础。
