A general theory on the realistic stress space of solids was formulated in a previous paper. In this paper, the bell stress spaces of several metals are compared, the concept of "efficiency of plastic deformation" is introduced and formulated, and the locus of deformation is discussed in connection with the theory of bell stress space. The main concepts of this paper are:

前文[1]综合四理论[2],[3],[4],[5]构成固体现实应力空间之一初步理论,大体反映固态静力学性质,对金属较对非金属固体反映得当,后者受范形变曲面有异于弥氏圆柱。总起来看,前文仅涉及原则概念,未触及具体问题。为使此理论对金属压力加工及材料试验研究有所帮助,本文进一步研究几个问题: 1)由应力空间图形比较不同金属的静力学性质; 2)受范形变效率及其计算; 3)形变过程之轨迹;并得到一定数量或质量上的结论。 同时,附带对前文[1]中一个实验记录图的错误作修正,包括在附录内。

This method which is simple and straight-forward,...

Because of the fact that there exists a mathematical identity between the statically indeterminate moments in the compatibility equation and the fiber stresses in the equation of eccentrically loaded columns, in analyzing singly-connected (single cell) rigid frames with degree of redundancy not more than 3, it is usually possible to use the familiar formula for short columns eccentrically loaded to analyse the indeterminate moments, which is called the column analogy. This method which is simple and straight-forward, is becoming one of the convenient tools in structural analysis.For multi-connected (multi-cell) rigid frames which are composed of many singly-connected rigid frames and have degree of redundancy more than 3, the analysis becomes more difficult and the column analogy cannot be applied directly. Generally the moment-distribution method is used and the column analogy is only used for the determination of various constants such as fixed-end moments, stiffness factors and carry-over factors for use in the method of moment distribution.The present paper gives an extension of the column analogy, making it applicable to the analysis of multicell problems. Each cell is analogized by a single column. The influences of the common member of two neighbouring cells are studied and the results are represented by corrections in the load and moments carried by the column. Once the -corrected loading for each cell is determined, further computation is just the same as in the ordinary column analogy.

The stress function can also be applied to the mixed boundary condition problems. On those parts of the boundary, with known displacements, the boundary conditions for stress function can be expressed by: and Together with and being known in the loaded part of the boundary, thus the general boundary conditions for stress function in the mixed boundary condition problems are established. In this paper the author uses the gravity-dams as working example. The gravity-dam with different moduli for dam and foundation is taken as the first example. In another example the foundation is considered as absolutely rigid. The later gives rise of the mixed boundary condition problem. The calculation is done by method of finite fifference using relaxational technique. New relaxational patterns have been set up. The numerical calculations are worked out for the second example. foe results are checked by model grid-tests. The agreement between the calculated and tested rested results shows that the method is applicable to such kind of problem.
