This is a review article of present status and prospect of injection water treatment for oil fields in our country. More attention is devoted to the problems arisen from lack of appropriate injection water examinations and up-to-date water treatment techniques. Recent achievement and tendency of furture developent in China are also stated.

It was a matter of controversy for a long time whether the ferrous ion in injection water should be controlled to a level less than 0.5mg/l.A preliminary analysis is given to the experimental results obtained both in laboratory and in long-term in-situ tests at a large number of water-treating plants in Zhongyuan Oil Field for removal of Fe~(++) by adding caustic soda.It is shown that:(1) The existence of Fe~(++) has no influence on the membrane factor of the purified water.(2)As a rule,the Fe~(++) concentration is far beyond the upper limit of 0.5mg/l after such caustic treatment.(3)The lowest content of Fe~(++)(3—5mg/l)is usually obtained when the water treated is rich of H_2S.Thus,a conclusion can be made that elimination of Fe~(++) appears not to be necessary if the corrosion rate is maintained less than 0.762mm/a and exact oxygen and bacteria controls are operated effect- ively.

Zhongyuan oil field is a complex oil field with many small fault blocks and shallow and quite heterogeneous reservoirsThrough high rate production by high pressure water injection, the oil field has entered its high water-cut production period,and secondary large porous channels created, making water plugging and profile control difficult. Many kinds of profile control agent were applied before 1996, resulting in varying degrees of benefit. In 1996, lime sludge profile control agent was developed, and broadly applied, 51 jobs were completed with the success ratio of 98%. The lime sludge profile control agent,containing CaCO3, MgCO3, CaSO4, FeS, Ca(OH)2 and so on, is a grey suspension with a density of 1.08g/cm3. Laboratory experiments indicate that the lime sludge profile control agent has high plugability high flush resistance and long term validity. For field application, the water treatment residue with 20%-30% lime sludge can be transported to well sites, and injected into target zones through workstrings. In the field tests, the profile control agent increased the actuating pressure and water injection pressure of water injectors, and decreased apparent water injectivity index, significantly improved water intake profile, lengthened average validity term of water injectors, and thereby increased the oil production of the oil wells and lowered their water production.

中原油田是复杂断块油田,断块小,油藏埋藏深,储集层非均质严重,层间、层内、平面矛盾突出,经过强注强来的高速开发,进入高含水采油期后,出现次生大孔道,给调剖堵水带来困难。1996年前使用过多种调剖剂,取得了不同程度的效果。为减轻注入水处理残渣的环境污染问题并节约电费,研究出石灰泥调剖剂,并推广应用。石灰泥是弱碱水处理残渣,内含65%以上的轻质CaCO3及MgCO3、CaSO4、FeS、Ca(OH)2等,为灰色悬浮体,密度1.08a/cm3。对比显微镜拍照、调剖前后岩心煤油渗透率、铸体图像分析参数、压汞毛管压力曲线参数、扫描电镜孔隙变化等参数的室内试验结果表明:石灰泥调剖剂封堵能力强、耐冲刷、有效期长。现场使用时,只需结合不同的施工管柱,将含20%~30%石灰泥的水处理残渣直接运到现场配制调剖别,挤入目的层。现场共施工51井次,工艺成功率98%,见效率98%,经济效益显著。中原油田注入水水质改性技术,中国石油天然气总公司鉴定材料,1996年。
