Bud on the self-organization and criticality, the critical point before strong earthquakes with M≥7.0 has been studied by the renormalization. Two conclusions has for obtained: (1) Before some earthquakes loth M≥7, there were critical phenomena of increasing of small or moderate earthquake, and a strong shock will occur when exceeding the critical point; (2) The renormalization could be well used for the earthqUake prediction.
