This paper presents a proposal of cement bond logging, i.e. Lamb wave log by its circumferential travelling. The attenuation of Lamb waves propagated along casing circumference depends on the medium characteristics outside the pipe, then the cement bonding quality can be determined according to the amplitude of the acoustical signals received. The advantage of this method is the accurate location of the bonding flaws. This proposal has been studied in laboratory scale research.
