本研究主要用问卷法对我国七所高校714名学生所作的调查。结果表明,1.我国大学生的基本需要可分为18种,其中强度最大的前四位是求知的需要、友情的需要、建树的需要和自尊自立的需要;强度最弱的末四位是性需要、归属需要、权力需要和躲避伤害的需要。2.大学生的18种需要又可分为6类,由强至弱依次为发展的需要,尊重的需要、交往的需要、贡献的需要、安全的需要和生理的需要。3.大学生的需要结构存在着一些团体差异和个别差异。
