         On the basis of experiments the paper investigates the mechanism of improving the engine performance by eletronic control fuel injection. The results of the study show that the optimization of air fuel ratio and the improvement of mixing condition outside the cylirder are the main factors. Temperature compensation is also necessary for gasoline engine, especially at low load. In addition, the eliclosed and plessurized fuel supply can reduce the HC emission.
