Under room temperature and common pressure, it is found that:(1) attenuation of compressional wave is higher than that of shear wave in the dry rocks. Attenuation of both P-wave and S-wave in fully brine-saturated rocks is higher than that in the dry rocks. Increment of S-wave attenuation depends on the degree of saturation in complicated way.(2) Amplitude has exponential decrease with increasing frequency in brine-saturated rocks. At low frequency, sonic wave has greater rate of attenuation. After certain characteristic frequency (about 600kHz), amplitude is independent of frequency.(3) For differently fluid-saturated rock, amplitude of sonic wave decreases with increasing viscosity of fluid.To sum up, we can get more fundamental information from attenuation measurement. These laboratory observational results may be helpful in in-situ identification of lithology, and can be used to serve for the development of oil fields.

Resistivity of most sedimentary rock is a function of pore fluid type, its saturation and proosity of the rock. Therefore, resistivity logs have long been used by reservoir geologists and engineers to identify rock types, describe the variations of pore fluid and determine well completion characteristics. In high resistivity rocks (hard rocks or rocks with low salinity pore fluid) applications of high frequency electromagnetic method (HFEM) have provided high resolution tomographic images of gas fire-fronts and fractures in coal seam. But in regions of lower resistivity HFEM results have been disappointing due to severe attenuation of source waves by the medium. Audio-frequency electromagnetic induction method (AFEIM) differs from HFEM chiefly by operating at audio rather than radio frequency (0. 25 ̄ 20KHz VS 2-200MHz) and utilizing magnetic dipole rather than electrical dipole antenna. AFEIM is an interesting alternative to the existing techniques for petroleum reservoir description and monitoring. With this method signals may be propagated several hundreds of meters through typical sand/shale reservoirs and highly accurate data may be acquired with a high sensitivity to the subsurface resistivity distribution.

高效增.声频井间电磁感应方法探讨.测井技术,1994,18(5):326~331大多数沉积岩的电阻率都是岩石孔隙度、孔隙中流体类型和流体饱和度的函数。因此,长期以来油藏地质学家和工程师一直把电阻率测井用于识别岩石类型,描绘孔隙流体变化和确定完井特征。在高胆岩石(坚硬岩石或含低矿化度孔隙流体的岩石)中,高频电磁方法已经提供了煤层中煤气燃烧前缘和裂缝的高分辨率层析图象。在低阻区,高频电磁方法的结果一直是令人失望的,其原因是这种介质使信号严重衰减。声频电磁感应方法与高频电磁方法的主要区别在于它的工作频率是声频而不是射频(以0.25~20kHz代替2~200MHZ);它采用的天线是磁偶极子而不是电偶极子。声频井间电磁感应方法在油藏描述和监测方面是可供选择的有意义的方法。用这种方法可以使信号在典型的砂/页岩油藏中传播几百米远,可以采集到有关地下电阻率分布的高精度、高灵敏度数据。
