A computer plot package (PPTI) for metal background content map plotting was developed and employed to plot the trend charts and isograms for copper background content in soils from Beijing plain region. The uniform distribution of sampling sites was checked by grid dividing and x2 test. The plotted results matched the original data considerably and certain correlative informations can be derived from them.
