本文利用菱形截断15波的九层全球大气环流谱模式通过有、无欧亚雪盖两个对比试验研究了冬季欧亚雪盖对冬季大气环流以及冬季风形成的作用及其机制。结果表明:无欧亚雪盖时,北半球低层海平面气压场上的大气主要活动中心和对流层中高层主要槽脊系统均有所减弱;同时由于欧亚东部大陆温度的增高减小了海陆经向温度梯度,从而使得冬季日本本附近的西风急流、冬季风环流和walker环流减弱,印尼附近的降雨量显著减少,南方涛动指数偏低。文中对这一作用机制也进行了讨论,指出欧亚雪盖所产生的热力效应及其和动力学过程相互作用机制在全球大气环流和冬季风环流的形成中起很重要作用。
