In accordance with the special characteristics of soil erosion process in the arid areas, a mathematical model named SLEMSEP (Soil Loss Estimation Model for Slope Erosion Process) was developed for simulating soil change caused by human activity, and was verified in the Zhuanyaogou watershed, northwest of Shanxi province. SLEMSEP continuously simulates the process of slope erosion realistically using a daily time step and readily available inputs. The model can be used in quantitatively evaluating the soil erosion impacted by human activities, forecasting the direction of the soil change, providing scientific basis for making strategic decisions on soil and water conservation and taking practices to control soil erosion. Since soil change might be a relatively slow process, SLEMSEP is capable of long term simulation if necessary.

借鉴国内外土壤侵蚀建模的经验与技术,针对我国干旱地区的实际情况,应用微机技术,建立了坡耕地土壤侵蚀过程数学模型SLEMSEP,并在晋西北砖窑沟试验区得到了验证。模拟过程以天为步长,可预报不同耕作措施条件下,基于日降水量的坡面土壤侵蚀量,定量评价人类活动对土壤侵蚀过程的影响,为水土保持的决策和具体措施的制定提供依据。SLEMSEP模型可进行长期模拟,应用于土壤变化和可持续利用的研究。

After raising the concepts of soil change and its impetuses. the paper discusses the positive and negative effects of agricultural activities on soil erosion, soil acidification, biological and physical properties of soil. At last, it points out that it is necessary to study the effects of agriculture on soil changes in order to develop sustainable agriculture.

The model can be used for quantitatively evaluating the effects of factors including climate, biota, topography, parent material, time and human activity on CaCO3 deposition in soil profile, a relatively slow process in soil development. And the model can also be used for quantitative studies on soil change and global change.

根据化学热力学过程以及土壤剖面碳酸钙淀积过程的机理,借鉴前人的建模经验,构建了干旱地区土壤碳酸钙淋溶淀积过程模型CAEDP,并以晋西北黄土丘陵土壤为例进行了验证。结果表明,本模型仅需输入较少的数据和参数(如月平均气温、作物生育期、土壤水通量等),即可模拟干旱地区土壤剖面碳酸钙的淋溶往积过程以及土壤溶液的pH值,可应用于定量估计气候、生物、地形、母质和时间等状态因子以及人类活动对土壤碳酸钙淀积这一缓慢过程的影响,并可应用于全球变化和土壤变化的定量化研究。
