This paper research the three representative statics correction methods(Refraction statics correction,Tomo-Statics without ray tracing, nonlinear Tomo-Statics) from the points of principle、characteristics、 practical effects. Finally, the paper proposes some suggestions to help the seismic data processor to choose reasonable approach to complete seismic processing efficaciously and to improve the processing quality.
The application of refraction statics has achieved certain effects in Hangjinqi area. However, the results vary with the topography and near surface structure.
A processing procedure is designed, which consist of crooked line processing, relative refraction statics correction, automatic restraining of large implitudc, dip filtering, predictive deconvolution, automatic residual static correction, velocity analysis, phase correction, restraining noise in F-X domain etc, to deal with the charactcristies of acute topography inequality, violent varying in low velocity region, low signal -to-noise ratio of the original record, serious crooked line and the phase difference of the records between two sources (dynamitc source and vibroseis)in the area.

3D refraction static corrections technique is a complete set of techniques, which is concerned with such steps as pickup of first breaks of refractions on seismic records, strata partitioning of refractors, analyzing refraction velocity, computation of time delay, building up near-surface model and computing datum statics.
3D refraction static corrections are suitable for such complex surface conditions as mountains, transient zones, loess plateaus, hills, which have more severe static corrections problem.
The availability of computer-effective algorithms such as the generalized linear inversion method allows the implementation of refraction statics during the initial processing of regional marine crustal surveys.

In the region where weathered layer varies terribly in lateral direction so that two adjacent receiver points show very big static moveout, appropriate datum static-correction values can not be calculated using conventional elevation correction and the linear interpolation whose control point data are taken from short-refraction survey and microlog. In such a case, even automatic residual static correction can not be used to bring satisfactory result because residual static correction value is above half per...
Surface-consistent statics using simulated first break is proposed so as to cope with the tough problem in data processing which is caused because near surface seismic velocity increases with dune thickening in Xinjiang deserts. This method makes full use of all first arrivals(i. e. the first break informations of direct wave, reflected wave and refracted waves in multiple layers)instead of usual fitst break refraction statics,so that the accuracy of statics is improved. Simulated first break times are obtai...
