The orifice plates with various thickness,hole numbers and hole sizes were used as hydrodynamic cavitation generator to study the degradation effect of hydrodynamic cavitation of Rhodamine B,and the relationship between the geometry of orifice plate and the treatment effect of cavitation was obtained.

Hydrodynamic cavitation is a new technique in wastewater treatment schemes. The degradation of rhodamine B was studied by a 220l hydrodynamic cavitation set-up in this paper. The experimental results showed that rhodamine B was degraded by hydrodynamic cavitation .Some affecting factors,such as cavitation number and inlet pressure, are discussed and the degadation law is proposed.The optimum operating parameters are presented for maximum efficiency of orifice plate.

Hydrodynamic cavitation is a new technique in wastewater treatment.The degradation of rhodamine-B in the simulated wastewater has been experimentally investigated on a 220 L hydrodynamic cavitation set-up with multiple hole orifice plates to verify the effect of degradation with cavitation as well as investigate the influence of geometric parameters on degradation rate constant.The experimental results show that the rhodamine-B is indeed decomposed by hydrodynamic cavitation behind the orifice plate,and there is an optimal ratio of total area of holes to the cross-sectional area of the pipe for the degradation.The rate constant increases with the decrease in the value of the modified cavitation number.

水力空化技术是一种废水处理新技术.为了验证多洞孔板的空化效果和探讨几何参数等因素对降解速率常数的影响,在220L水力空化装置中利用多洞孔板对含有若丹明B染色剂的模拟印染废水进行了降解试验研究,结果表明:多洞孔板对若丹明B确实有降解作用,同时存在一个最佳的多洞孔板的面积比,并且降解速率常数随修正空化数的减小而增大.
