Sulphureous compounds of natural sources play an important role in sulphur cycle and environmental acidification. So far, papers concerning this area have been rare in China. Ascertaining the natural emissions of various gases is one of the important missions of the global and regional atmospheric environmental research. Sulphureous compounds of natural sources play an important role in sulphur cycle and environmental acidification. So far, papers concerning this area have been rare in China. In this paper, natural sulphur emission inventory has been developed using an analogism with references and field measured data. Results show that COS (46%), DMS(35%) and H2S (14%) are major sulphureous components of natural sources. Trees and soils are estimated to be the major natural sources. The natural sources annually contribute 3325 metric tons of sulfur in Guangdong and Guangxi.
