In this paper,we introduce HCI functional specifica-tion,describe the realizat ion of data communication based on bluetooth HCI in hardware and software.The hardware module is Ericsson ROK101008bluetooth module,at the same time, we realize RS232transport layer by MSComm component.

As a new technology for short distance wireless communication, Bluetooth aims to facilitate interconnection of devices.Since most devices interconnected via Bluetooth are intelligent hosts which have processors,buses and operating systems,the Bluetooth module should act as a peripheral controlled by the host via a Host Control Interface(HCI).In this paper, the principle of HCI is introduced, and a practical approach of HCI based on UART transmission layer is given.
