It was shown in autoradiography that this substance could strongly in hibit the DNA synthesis of tumor cells of Ehrlish ascites carciuoma. In acute toxicity test, the LD_(50) was 1.49ml/kg by intragastric administration and 0.19ml/kg by intravenous administration. In subacute toxicity test, no obvious abnormality, with the exception of stimulation to the mueosa of oral cavity and throat, was observed during the examination of blood, EKG, function of the liver and kidncy and in the pathological examination of the heart, liver, kidney, spleen, stomach, ureter, gall bladder and pancreas.

It is believ- ed that under the effect of surgery wound, the action of sympathetico-adrenal -medullary system is enhenced and the vago-insulin system is in an inhibited state, this results in a gradual rise in BSC. The integration site may posited at lower brain stem.

在尿生成的急性实验中,既未注射其他药物,也未注射高渗葡萄糖,我们发现由输尿管收集的16只兔尿中,先后有13只免尿糖呈阳性。实验证明,糖尿的出现,与其血糖浓度的逐渐明显升高有密切关系。同时对血糖升高的原因,采用正交设计进行初步分析:设想在手术创伤的作用下,家兔的交感——肾上腺髓质系统的活动明显增强,而迷走——胰岛素系统则处于一定的抑制状态,因此使血糖浓度逐渐升高;共整合部位则位于低位脑干。
