This paper addresses the feasibility of visual sensing and real time control of weld pool dynamics in pulsed GMAW. Because of the complexity of fuse dripping transition in pulsed GMAW,it is simulated for welder to observe weling pool changes and regulate weld parameter for control of weld seam figuration .The visual sensing system was established for monitoring welding pool variety. The fuse dripping transition influences on the weld pool size were considered as black box process for simplifying complexity,and using arc spectrum distribution of pulsed GMAW and image processing for picking up weld pool characters ,the real time detecting of weld pool dynamics in pulsed GMAW was realized. The model of weld pool dynamical process was be presented in this paper by identification algorithm,and then the PID controller was designed for real time control of weld bead width during pulsed GMAW. The experments show that the real time and precision requirements for detecting and control of weld pool changes and bead width of puled GMAW could be satisfied by developed image processing and control algorighm on the established systems.

研究对脉冲熔化极气体保护焊 (GMAW )熔池过程采用视觉传感与实时控制方法的可行性问题。由于GMAW过程的熔滴过渡现象的复杂性 ,尝试模拟焊工通过观察熔池变化等因素来调整焊接参数获取满意的焊缝成形的行为。建立了脉冲GMAW过程熔池视觉传感系统 ,宏观上将熔滴过渡对熔池特征的影响作为黑箱过程处理 ,根据脉冲GMAW弧光光谱分布和熔池图像特征提取 ,实现对脉冲GMAW熔池动态过程的实时检测。采用辨识算法建立焊接动态过程的数学模型 ,进而设计脉冲GMAW熔宽的PID控制器 ,实现对脉冲GMAW熔池宽度的实时控制。试验表明 ,建立的视觉传感系统、图像处理算法以及控制器设计检测与控制熔池变化在一定程度上能够满足脉冲GMAW焊缝宽度的实时性与精度要求

A dichroitic mirror is designed to extract video signal from axis of laser beam with high power, which resolves the problem of difficultly extracting coaxial video signal from laser welding pool. A dichroitic mirror is designed to extract video signal from axis of laser beam with high power, which resolves the problem of difficultly extracting coaxial video signal from laser welding pool. The mirror is set in laser path whose inclination angle is 45° with axis of laser beam. The coaxial visual sensing system to monitor high power Nd: YAG laser welding process is established based on this light path of extracting video signal. The median filter and homomorphic filter are designed to remove low frequent noise between rows and to enhance images based on analyzing the characteristics of imaging signal. Edges of welding pool and keyhole are extracted based on image segmentation with threshold. In order to get precise shape parameters of welding pool and keyhole, edges are fitted by Hough transform and the sizes of welding pool and keyhole are obtained from the fitted results.

利用半透半反分光镜片成功地解决了激光焊接同轴视觉传感技术中同轴成像光信号分离提取难的问题,建立了大功率Nd:YAG激光焊接过程同轴视觉传感系统。针对无辅助照明光的激光焊接同轴视觉图像成像信号的特点,设计了相应的中值滤波和同态滤波来消除图像的低频噪声和增强图像,并基于图像阈值分割技术搜索、检测出了熔池和小孔图像边缘的位置。最后,利用Hough变换对图像边缘进行曲线拟合得到熔池和小孔边缘曲线的拟合方程并从拟合结果中求得熔池和小孔的二维尺寸。

A vision sensing system for taking and processing the images of MIG welding pool of aluminum alloy had been setup. A lot of images of the molten pool were obtained from different welding parameters. The aluminum alloy’s characteristics of the molten pool were analyzed, and the corresponding image processing and edge detection methods were designed. This means that a good background for advance aluminum alloy’s intelligent MIG welding is provided.

建立了铝合金脉冲MIG焊熔池图像检测CCD视觉传感系统。应用窄带滤光的方法成功地解决了强弧光干扰 ,通过大量试验 ,在获取清晰焊接熔池区图像的基础上 ,分析了铝合金焊接熔池图像的特征 ,研究了适合铝合金MIG焊熔池图像处理方法和熔池几何尺寸的边缘检出方法 ,获得了满意的熔池边缘特征图像 ,为进一步实现铝合金MIG焊接熔透智能控制奠定了基础
