Giant pandas distribute over Wenxian county in Gansu province, which is the center of bamboo distribution all over Gansu province. It is important to find out bamboo resources for dividing bamboo forest types, protecting studying giant pandas, and making use of bamboo resources rationally. This paper was based on an investigation to thirteen towns and two hundred thousand hectares in Wenxian county area. There are bamboo forests 60840 hectares, belonging to nine species and one variety of five genera. These species can be divided into three groups and eight types. The author also studied the relation between two bamboo species, between the bamboo species and the climate in wenxian county. It would provide scientific bases for developping bamboo forests and protecting the giant panda of this area.

(4)Habitat isolation causes genetic exhaustion,which makes panda's death in isolated mountains. (5)Excessive catching,indiscriminating hunting and smuggling lead to panda s decreasing. If no emergency measures could be adopted,the giant panda would go to the edge of extinction very soon.

Based on the modular organism population theory and on its two levels was analyzed the population density of young Bashania fangiona after natural regeneration in the Giant panda's habitat of Wolong Nature Reserve.The result showed that the genet population density of B.fangiana was 25.1 genet/m2 on average,and the population density of next year of the dead bamboos after flowering in 1983 was smaller than that of the third year's.AS the period for being dead after flowering extended,the population density....

The genet and clonal population densities are as follows: Abies faxoniana-B. fangiana forest>Tusga chinensis+Betula utilis-B.fangiana forest>T.chinensis+B.albosinensis-B.fangiana forest.The natural regeneration of young B.fangiana bamboos increased with the altitude,although the change in each gradient was comparatively small.The population densitiesin different ages presented variable curves similar to vegetation classification types.

应用构件生物种群理论,从构件生物的两个水平研究了卧龙自然保护区大熊猫栖息地内冷箭竹幼龄种群自然更新密度特征,结果表明:①冷箭竹幼龄种群的基株(竹丛)种群密度为25.1基株/m2,1983年开花枯死竹林次年萌发幼苗的种群密度低于第3年的幼苗种群密度,随开花枯死年限的延长,种群密度逐渐降低;②冷箭竹克隆种群密度平均为94.4株/m2,各龄级的排序为3年生>4年生>5年生>2年生>1年生>6年生>7年生>8年生>9年生>10年生;③探讨了不同植被类型和海拔高度对冷箭竹幼龄林的基株和克隆种群密度的影响,基株和克隆种群密度均为“岷江冷杉—冷箭竹林”>“铁杉+糙皮样-冷箭竹林”>“铁杉+红样-冷箭竹林”;④冷箭竹的自然更新随着海拔高度的上升而递增,但变化梯度较小,不同龄级的种群密度呈现出与植被类型相似的变化曲线。
