In the past ten years, a research in underground mining methods was put stress on the mining technology for difficult mined orebody by Changsha Institute of Mining Research, and the great achievement has been got. The error from calculation is adjusted by the modified coefficient K. and the definite range of K is given by taking, the analysis of walling design of the dangerous sections is some shafts which are 1000m and 500m long respectively as examples. Five types of walling breaking are classified by the special investigation of broken walling in base rock, and synthetical design method is developed, in which the walling structure is designed by considering the bearing pressure under the normal coalition and yielding pressure or partial pressure under the special conditions
