The following aspects are described in this paper: the determination of the shape and the main size of the burner; the observation of the burning phenomena and the flow pattern in the primary zone; and the performance of the combustor, including ignition, combustion efficiency, flame stablization and exit temperature...

The following aspects are described in this paper: the determination of the shape and the main size of the burner; the observation of the burning phenomena and the flow pattern in the primary zone; and the performance of the combustor, including ignition, combustion efficiency, flame stablization and exit temperature distribution. As a result, a practical combustor design is provided for the purpose mentioned above, and, in addition, it seems that the experience obtained herein may also be useful in the development of a similar type gas-turbine combustion system.
