In this paper a comprehensive investigation on the stability of a large-span cavern is described, including in-situ rock tests, measurement of initial stress field, application of seismic velocity method etc.. A finite element method of non-linear analysis used for numerical modelling is also introduced. Finally, some useful conclusions for selecting the site of a large-span cavern and for the design and construction of support are given.

For safty and economy in engineering blasting.it is concluded that the elastic wave method has a wide perspect.

Author recognizes that this technique improved may detecte quickly,economically and effectivly the effect of strong compactive consolidation by using modified elastic wave detective technique.It has been, pointed out that it may complete the measurement of the velocities in sand-gravel composite mediums with strong attenuation charactor...

This paper has summarised practical experience on detecting effect of strong compactive consolidation by elastic wave technique in several engineering site in the last few years. Author recognizes that this technique improved may detecte quickly,economically and effectivly the effect of strong compactive consolidation by using modified elastic wave detective technique.It has been, pointed out that it may complete the measurement of the velocities in sand-gravel composite mediums with strong attenuation charactor by planning the refrection test in surface with the direction test in drillholes(along or cross-hole shear wave). Therefore, this technique may give out estimation of the effective area and deepth by strong compactive consolidation.

本文概括了近几年利用弹性波法检测强夯加固地基效果的工程实践经验。认为采用改进了的弹性波检测技术,可以在现场快速、经济、有效地检测强夯加固的实际效果,提出使用信号增强型地震设备,布置地表折射剖面与钻孔(单孔与跨孔剪力波)测试相结合,可以实现在具有强吸收衰减的砂砾、土石混合集料中的波速测定,从而对强夯加固的作用范围和可及深度作出准确的评价。通过弹性波速度检测确定的动力弹性模量E、剪切模量G和体积压缩模量K是和介质变形性质直接有关的力学参数,可作为评价地基力学性质和估计承载能力的定量指标。
