The room temperature Mossbauer spectrum of FeB is formed by two ferromagnetic sextet superposition, the magnitude of their internal magnetic field is individually 116 kOe and 93 kOe. The microstructure of the borided surface layers is observed.

作为今后硼工业原料来源的硼镁铁矿,经高炉冶炼完成铁硼分离后,90%的硼富集到渣相,有效地从硼渣中提取硼则是亟待解决的课题。研究发现提高硼提取率的关键在于硼组分能否以晶相析出,所以研究渣中硼组分晶化过程和晶化机制则十分重要和必要。因此作者采用静态法研究了MgO-B2O3-SiO2系硼组分的晶化过程,研究发现非晶MgO-B2O3-SiO2系在800℃热处理时产生一种类似葡萄串状的分相结构,分相形貌具有分形特征,采用面积-回转半径法计算其分形维数为1.90。而这种分相机理目前还不十分清楚,为揭示分相机理,采用Monte-Carlo方法及不稳分解模型和成核长大模型对分相过程进行计算机模拟,模拟结果表明,按成核长大模型模拟的结果与实际分相分形结构,分形维数相符,因此可以认为MgO-B2O3-SiO2系分相形成机理为成核长大
