Representative results,such as axial velocity decay and lateral velocity distribution of the supersonic oxygen jet as well as its penetration depth and impact area on the liquid bath have been obtained.Mathematical models have been established from these results for scale-up to commercial furnaces.A large number of experimental heats on hot model were carried out in combination with a study on possible reduction of smelting time on a 5-ton converter at the Capital Iron and Steel Company in Beijing.The results proved that an average oxygen blowing time per heat may be reduced from 14 minutes to 12 minutes under otherwise egual conditions.

By comparing the operation data of a blast furnace working with two kinds of burden, one of which is composed of 46.83% acid pellet and 53.17% superfluxed sinter, and the other of 100% self-fluxed sinter as well as by calculating the overall material and heat balance of the smelting process and by Rist diagram analysis, it was found that the mixed burdcn had a better smelting effect on blast furnace operation than that of self-fluxed sinter. By measuring their metallurgicalproperties, it was found that they had high strength and reducibility, low RDI, uniformity in size, especially low swelling properties for acid pellet. It was pointed out that the high temperature reducibility and softening properties should be improved and the way to improve them suggested.

The cohesive zone in blast furnace was first found in 1970's. Its height,width, pattern and the root place have much to do with the operating course,the operating pattern of the blast furnace and the melting property of the ore This paper gives the analyses about the factors of the cohesive zone in blast furnase, such as the best height, width and the reasonable pattern of the cohesive zone. This paper also gives the measures about controling and exa-ming the cohesive zone in blast furnace.

70年代在高炉解剖调查中发现了软熔带,软熔带的型状参数(如高度、宽度、分布型状以及根部位置和厚度等)与高炉冶炼过程,高炉的操作炉型以及矿石的冶金性能有密切关系,本文就其相互关系进行了论述。我国在近年通过高炉活体调查、解剖调查及实验室研究,对软熔带的形成,分布型状,对冶炼过程及煤气流再分布等进行了较深入的研究,结果表明,软熔带的分布参数是高炉操作制度,矿石冶金性能和炉型的综合体现。因而控制软熔带就比单纯地控制高炉操作制度更能获得好的冶炼效果,并可在保证高炉顺行的基础上获得高产、优质及长寿。
