Tientsin Albino I (TAI) is a low tumor inbred strain of mice with an incidence of 0.8%.It has been transmitted to the 70th generation up to May,1979.Tientsin Albino II is a high mammary gland tumor inbred strain of mice with an incidence over 60%,and has been transmitted to the 50th generation up to May,1979.To identify their purity,skin grafts between TAI and TAII were transplanted and skin grafts from 15 pairs of TAI and 16 pairs of TAII were taken at random respectively.The results observed when the skin grafts lasted over 100 days,demonstrates that TAI and TAII inbred strains are homozygous,and their histocompatibility gene is identical.First-generation hybrids between TAI and TAII have accepted skin grafts from each other in a total of 9 pairs,and from either parent strain in a total of two cases of TAII.F1(TAI X 615) have accepted skin grafts from each other in a total of 6 pairs,and from either parent strain in a total of 6 cases of TAI.All results are positive,survival rate being 100%.Skin grafts survived over 200 days.Our experiments demonstrate that TAI and TAII are inbred strains.615/Chen is also an inbred strain.The numbers of TAI,TAII and 615/Chen are essentially homozygous and genetically identical and thus,like identical twins,accept skin grafts from one another.TAI,TAII and 615/Chen are all of high grade inbred strains.
