The signal is tapped by a precision combinatory magnetic potentiometer and sent to a computer to be processed after passing through an automatic drift-correcting amplifier and a long-term DC integrator.This method is preferable to the conventional one that employs a shunt or a DC current transformer because, on the one hand, it is difficult to isolate the shunt from the high voltage and, on the other, the use of current transformer will result in narrow measuring range and poor resistivity to external magnetic field interference.The accuracy for a single measurement by this device is 0.5% and that for a long-term operation is 1%. The current measuring range is from 104 to 105A with voltage up to 105 V.
