As a good colorant, astxanthin (3,3'-dihydroxy-4,4'-diketo beta carotene) isand will be widely used in aquaculture industry (especially as a feed supplementin the culture of salmon, trout and shrimp), in cosmetic making and victual processing. The limited production of astaxanthin at present can not meet the growingdemand, which therefore drives scientists in a number of countries to find newalternatiyc sources. Haematococcus pluvialis, a biflagelated unicellular green alga, isconsidered as the potent producer of astxanthin because of its ability to accumulatesigniflcant amounts of this pigment while exposured to certain culture conditions.Studies of culturing Haematococcus for natural astaxanthin on laboratory scale become a hot research area with more than 60 articles pub1ished since 1981 althoughfew involved in pilot. Based on all the approaches and with the purpose of promoting the culture of Haematococcus, we review some aspects of this alga, coveringits biological characteristics, cell reproduction ways and their capacity, cell cycleand its regulation, astaxanthin accumulation and its pliysiological fullctioll, culturetechniques and so on. At the end of the paper, some other work expected and theexisting problems blocking further exploitation processes snth as contaminationcontrol, speed up cell growth, development of computer-controlled photobioreactortechniques) are discussed also.

虾青素作为食品和饲料色素添加剂有着广阔的应用前景,单细胞绿藻雨生红球藻在特定条件下可以大量积累虾青素,有可能成为该色素的良好天然资源,受到微藻学界的重视。但目前雨生红球藻培养还处于实验室阶段,大规模生产尚存在许多问题有待解决,我国这方面的研究处于起步阶段。为此通过微机查阅了1981-1997年的国内外发表的有关文献,结合我们的实验结果,从该藻的基础生物学特性、虾青素累积的机制、养殖现状进行了综述,并就存在的问题、发展前景和方向提出了看法。

Nd:YAG Laser (wavelength 1.06μm, power 30w, 40w)was used to irradiate the vegetative cells of Haematococcus pluvialis, and with irradiate does of 10 sec, 30sec,60sec.The physiological and biochemical characteristic of cells irradiated were determined and analysed. The experimental results show that the motility of cells, growth rates, pigment content and formation of akinets were varied at different degrees after irradiation. The experimental results show that the motility of cells, growth rates, pigment content and formation of akinets were varied at different degrees after irradiation. Among these, the growth were stimulated and growth phase were prolonged at low irradiate dose(30w, 10sec,30sec;40w, 10sec,), of which, the growth and the cell density were increased most by 11.4% and 29.7% respectively. The does of high irradiate(30w,60sec;40w,30sec) inhibitated growth, but stimulated astaxanthin accumulation and akinete formation. of which, the astaxanthin content and the percentage of akinte were increased most by 35.5% and 32.1% respectively.

利用 Nd:YAG激光 (波长 1 .0 6μm,功率 3 0 W,4 0 W)照射雨生红球藻的营养细胞 ,辐照时间为1 0 sec,3 0 sec,60 sec。辐照后进行生理生化特性的测定分析。实验结果表明 ,经激光辐照后 ,藻细胞在运动能力 ,生长速率 ,色素含量及厚壁孢子的形成等方面均有不同程度的变化。其中 ,低剂量辐照组 (功率 3 0 W,辐照1 0 sec,3 0 Sec和 4 0 W,辐照 1 0 sec)的生长期延长 ,生长速率较出发株最高增加 1 1 .4 % ,培养 1 2天时的细胞密度最高增加 2 9.7%。高剂量辐照 (功率 3 0 W,辐照 60 sec,4 0 W,辐照 3 0 sec)对生长有抑制作用 ,但可加速虾青素的累积和孢子的形成 ,培养 1 2天时虾青素含量与孢子发生率的增幅最高分别达 3 5.5%和 3 2 .1 %。

An effects of physiological stimulation on astaxanthin producer Haematococcus pluvialis by He-Ne Laser and semiconducter Laser was studied. The effects of different Laser in growth, Chlorophyll content and astaxanthin accumulation at different dosages was compared. The experimental results indicated that the red laser of low power has remarkable stimulation on the preliferate of regetative cells in H. pluvialis.

本文研究了 He-Ne激光和半导体激光对生产虾青素的雨生红球藻 ( H aematococcuspluvialis)的生理刺激作用。对两种激光不同辐照剂量的生长刺激作用 ,叶绿素含量及虾青素累积速率的变化进行了比较。实验结果表明 ,低功率的红色激光对红球藻营养细胞的增殖具有明显的促进作用
