Audio information hiding technique has become one of the research hotspots in recent years. With such techniques we may embed secret information into audio files, so as to get'covet communication' and 'copyright protection' etc. At first, this paper describes some basic items as human auditory system, formats of audio file, transmission environments of audio signal, and some basic requirements for audio information hiding as well. Then it focuses on the principles and limitations of those audio information hiding techniques presented so far. At last it points out some promising directions in this research area.

音频信息隐藏技术已成为近年来的研究热点之一 .利用该技术可在音频文件中嵌入秘密信息以达到“掩蔽通信”和“版权保护”等目的 .本文首先介绍了音频信息隐藏的一些基本问题 ,如人类听觉系统模型、音频文件格式、声音传送环境及对音频信息隐藏的基本要求等等 .随后重点研究了迄今为止已出现的一些音频信息隐藏技术的工作原理及其局限性 .最后指出该研究领域未来的研究和发展方向
