The process from the stable growth to the point of fast fracure of a plane mixed crack subjected to monotonically increasing uniaxial and biaxial load has been analyzed with an incremental kinematic mode. The cur e between the load and crack size was used as the input data of the computer program. The various curves of stress-crack size, plastic energy-crack size and the path of growth were obtained in this paper.

Both the self-similar and non-self-similar crack growths in the thin sheet of high-strength material have been investigated experimontally and theoretically in this paper. The process from the onset of stable crack growth to that of unstable crack growth. was analyzed with finite element method based on incremental theory of kinematic hardening. The relationship between the typical parameters of elastic-plastic fracture mechanics and crack size has been given.
