The Baoquan Pumped storage Power Plant has the installed capacity of 4 300 MW, the annual energy output of 2 010 TWh, the annual water pumped energy consumption of 2.642 TWh and the comprehensive efficiency of 0.76. In the design of the plant, the following several key technical problems have been solved. Due to the large seepage volume of the upper reservoir, the local overburden layer in the bottom of the reservoir has been excavated and backfilled by quarry rubbish and clay as blanket to control seepage....

In the design of the plant, the following several key technical problems have been solved. Due to the large seepage volume of the upper reservoir, the local overburden layer in the bottom of the reservoir has been excavated and backfilled by quarry rubbish and clay as blanket to control seepage. The asphalt concrete has been used in the bank seepage control of the upper reservoir. Because the original dam of the lower reservoir has been heightened and strengthened, the reinforced concrete face slab has been adopted for seepage control, which solves the problem of underwater construction. Due to different rock properties in different sections of the water conveyance tunnel, manifold lining types have been adopted. The rated speed of the generating unit of 428.6 r/min is selected.

河南宝泉抽水蓄能电站装机4 ×300 M W, 年发电量2010 亿k W·h , 年抽水耗电量2642 亿k W·h , 综合效率076 。在设计中遇到了几个重大技术问题并采取了相应措施, 主要有: 上库渗漏量较大, 库底防渗采用局部开挖覆盖层、回填石渣粘土铺盖防渗, 库岸用沥青混凝土防渗; 下库原有浆砌石重力坝加高加固, 采用钢筋混凝土面板防渗, 解决了水下施工问题; 输水洞开挖后因各段岩性不同, 采用了多种衬砌形式; 机组额定转速选用4286r/ min 。
