In addition, some special method are suggested which increase the rate of adaptivity, this rate being decreased greatly by introducing the above filter. The final arrangement gives the same rate as the common complex-weighting system.

There are two disadvantages in adaptive beam forming in the presence of main lobe interference, one is heightening of side-lobe level, the other is distortion and peak offset of main beam. There are two disadvantages in adaptive beam forming in the presence of main lobe interference, one is heightening of side-lobe level, the other is distortion and peak offset of main beam. A robust method is proposed in this paper. First, preprocessing in data domain is adopted for interference cancellation, then adaptive beam forming is performed. This method can not only suppress the main lobe interference, but also solve the problem about heightening of side-lobe level, distortion and peak offset of main beam. Computer simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
