This paper shows a general expression of Gaussian mode parameters in optical resonators of large mirror apertures with a quadratic medium possess-ing a radial gain and index profile. The Gaussian mode structure of symmetrie optical resonators of large mirror apertures filled with a radial quadratic medium possessing only gain profile is analyzed in detail. It is obtained by numerical calculation that the mode spot size at the mirrors in a resonator with arbitrary configuration is always a finite value as long as radial gain variations are present. For large quadratic gain variations the spot size and the radius of curvature of wavefront are independent of the geometrical parameters of the resonators.
