    In this paper an introduction has been made to some of wind characteristics in the planetary boundary layer which can be applied to diffusion of air pollutants and loading upon buildings.In the first part given mean windspeed following subjects are discussed, effects of the averaging time and the sample length on the mean windspeed, methods of calculating parent distribution, extreme value distribution, estimation of strong wind, variation with height, method of calculating the average windspeed over one type of terrain when the average wind speed is known over a nearby but different type of terrain, etc.In the second part given to windspeed fluctuations following subjects are discussed, probability density function, standard deviation, effect of averaging time on gustspeeds, autocorretatipn, integral scales, spectral density function, the TVL formula, etc.Some usefull informations and data are given in this paper.

    The characteristics of fluid mechanics and air distribution in air chambers of industrial boilers are studied in both theoretical and experimental. The theoretical equations are deduced for calculating the static pressure distribution in air chamber and the kinetic pressure head on the grate along the width direction of the grate. The results calculated from these equations fit well to the experriments.

    本文对工业锅炉常用的一种风室内气流的流体力学特性及配风特性进行较深入的理论和试验研究,推导出了计算风室内静压及炉排上动压沿宽度方向分布的理论公式,这些公式能与试验结果较好地结合.
