The paraxial-ray equation for describing the electron trajectories in a periodic magnetic field has been solved by a perturbation method. Space charge effect is included. The cathode may bs partially shielded. By this method, it is possible to obtain higher order approximate periodic solutions as well as the optimum focusing conditions. For strong scalloping, these higher order periodic solutions are needed.

A periodic field formed with three or five lens elements can be used as an image-forming lens in ion-optics. Generally, it possesses much stronger focusing ability than a single lens element under the same voltage ratio. Periodic field lenses have been used as initial focusing systems of ion sources in some electrostatic accelerators, yet its image-forming characteristics have not been fully studied.

The motion track of relativistic electrons in a spatially periodic transverse magnetic field has been analysed. Under some conditions, the electron motion is harmonic in the direction perpendicular to the original incident one. Radiation spectrum and spectral width have been obtained using harmonic mode, nonhamonie is also discussed. It has been shown that radiation spectrum depends on the initial electron velocity and the intensity of magnetic tiell.

分析了相对论电子在空间周期磁场中的运动轨迹.在一定条件下,电子在垂直原始入射方向上的运动是简谐的,利用谐振子模型求出了它的辐射频谱和频宽;最后讨论了运动的非谐性.得到辐射频谱分布将是与电子的初速度、磁场强度有关.
