This paper describes two calibration methods(experimentaland calculated point-source Simulation methods)for determining the efficien-cy for γ-ray full energy paek of volume sources with a 100mm×100mmNaI(Tl)crystal.water,soil,rice,press pumpkin,and air filter materialare selected as five kinds of self absorption mediums of radiation source.The results were obtained and the relative errorr between these methods isless than 4%.

In this paper a new approach to the decoupling of the two group diffusion equations is devised. The core thermal neutrons are divided into two parts. Thermal neutrons which never leave the core through the core boundary constitute the one part and the remainder thermal neutrons the other. By treating the two perts of thermal neotrons with different techniques, we get decoupled two group diffusion nodal e- quations, which are solved far more fast while preserving a very high accuracy.
