The necessity,significance and development of regional cathodic protection are presented in this article,and a series of issues during its implementation are included,such as the design of anodic ground,protective objects,protective current density,position of reference electrode,etc.
The successful example of local cathodic protection of concentrated pipe range at flammble and explosive region are recommended. The safety and side effect of cathodic protection in this region,and the economic effeiciency are analyzed and discussed in detail.
