The main purpose of this work was to identify the effect of iron deficency anemia on learning and memory ability andits relationship to ultrastructural changes in hippocampal CA3 area.An iron deficient diet(11.9mg/kg)was used to make an animal model of iron deficency anemia(IDA).It was shown that the learning and memory ability of the experimental group was adversely affected. The processes of astorcytes swelled obviously and organelles disappeared unedr the TEM in anemic rats.There were myelinoid bodies and vacuoles in the processes.Low density degeneration of the necleus and eisrupted organells in neurones were also found.The result suggests that iron deficiency anemia could cause learning and memory deficitits,whih may partly result from ultrastructural changes in the brain.

应用低铁饮食建立了缺铁性贫血大鼠模型,用MG-2型三等分辐射式迷宫检测了大鼠的学习记忆能力的改变,透射电镜下观察了海马CA3区超微结构的改变。结果显示缺铁性贫血大鼠的学习记忆能力明显降低,海马CA3区星型胶质细胞的足突明显肿胀,细胞器基本消失,神经细胞的核染色质聚集成块,核内呈低电子密度变性,胞浆内细胞器减少。提示缺铁性贫血大鼠海马超微结构的改变是其学习记忆能力障碍的物质基础之一。

The ultrastructure of the CA 3 region of the hippocampus was observed with electron microscopy in zinc deficient (ZD) and zinc excessive (ZE) rats from their breast feeding stage and onward. The findings were as follows: (1)The number of synaptic vesicles of the pyramidal cells was decreased in ZD rats. (2)Various degrees of degeneration of the neurons, glial cells and synapses and rupture of synaptic vesicles were seen in ZE animals. These findings suggest that the changes of hippocampal ultrastructures...

The ultrastructure of the CA 3 region of the hippocampus was observed with electron microscopy in zinc deficient (ZD) and zinc excessive (ZE) rats from their breast feeding stage and onward. The findings were as follows: (1)The number of synaptic vesicles of the pyramidal cells was decreased in ZD rats. (2)Various degrees of degeneration of the neurons, glial cells and synapses and rupture of synaptic vesicles were seen in ZE animals. These findings suggest that the changes of hippocampal ultrastructures might be one of the fundamental mechanisms of the changes of the learning and memory capacity in ZD and ZE rats.

通过电镜观察从哺乳期开始缺锌(ZD)、高锌(ZE)大鼠脑海马CA3区的超微结构,发现ZD组锥体细胞突触小泡减少,ZE组锥体细胞、胶质细胞、突触等均有不同程度变性,突触小泡破裂。结果提示海马超微结构的变化是ZD和ZE影响学习记忆的物质基础或机理之一。

Pathological changes in hippocampus of rats fed with different zinc content food(Z1 200mg,Z2 400mg,Z3 800mg,Z4 1200mgZnSO 4/kg)were observed.The results were as follows:(1)there were no obvious pathological changes in hippocampus in Z1 and Z2 groups under light and electron microscopic examinations;(2)in Z3 and Z4 groups,no obvious pathological changes were observed under lihgt microscopic examination,however,under electron microscopic examination,the mitochondria were badly damaged:the eristae were blured,broken...

给鼠饲以添加不同含量的高锌饲料,分别于每kg干饲料中加硫酸锌200(Z1组),400(Z2组),800(Z3组),1200(Z4组)mg/kg。历时12周观察其海马的形态学变化。结果显示:①光镜下海马结构无明显改变。②电镜下Z1组、Z2组海马结构基本正常。Z3、Z4组神经元内线粒体内部嵴断裂,基质淡化,严重者呈空泡变性,溶酶体增多,髓鞘融合,突触数量明显减少。提示服用过高剂量锌可引起海马超微结构的改变,从而影响脑功能。
