According to the principles of bibliometrics, this article did some work on the author group of "Chinese Journal of Biomedical Engineering" during 1986 to 1996, including making statistical data, getting conclusion, doing analysis and investigation.
The results showed that thesis quantity and information density were large,time lag for publishing was short,quantity of references cited per article was proper,cited rate was high,the journal has stabile writer group,and most thesis were written on physical education and social sports.
