Prom the non-homogeneous Maxwell equations, the auther derived the analytical solution for a homogeneous conducting sphere induced by homogeneous electromagnetic field, as well as the analytical solution for an inhomogeneous conducting sphere under the influence of inhomogeneous inducing field in the free space. A few examples of geophysical interest in response problems of this kind are metioned also.
