The concept of critical slip field (CSF) and the method of its numerical simulation are put forth in the paper. CSF is the field of maximal residual thrust curves in a slope under critical condition, composed of numerous hazardous slip surfaces which do not intersect each other. The shape of these surfaces is not defined mathematically, and among them is the critical slip surface. The results of some examples demonstrate that the critical slip surface in CSF is a numerical approximation to theoretical solution .Furthermore,it is even peculiar to evaluate slope stability with CSF itself.

In conventional slope analysis, the slope stability and potential sliding mass are usually charaterized by the singleminimum safety factor and corresponding critical slip surface respectively. However,other potential failure surfaces are missed with larger sliding mass or of greater engineering significance, though with a little greater factor safety. By using the critical slip field method, not only the critical slip surface of arbitrary shape can be obtained with great ease, but also the other dangerous...

In conventional slope analysis, the slope stability and potential sliding mass are usually charaterized by the singleminimum safety factor and corresponding critical slip surface respectively. However,other potential failure surfaces are missed with larger sliding mass or of greater engineering significance, though with a little greater factor safety. By using the critical slip field method, not only the critical slip surface of arbitrary shape can be obtained with great ease, but also the other dangerous surfaces can be presented simultaneously in such a field with unbalanced thrusts for representing their degree of stability. On the basis of the critical slip field method, the theory of globally critical slip field and the method for constructing it are suggested in this paper. In this proposed field, locally critical surfaces for all exits, along with their factors of safety, are exhibited, making the evaluation of slope stability more reasonable and thorough. A test embankment is analyzed by using the proposed theory and a good agreement is obtained with the observed results. Application to a practical engineering presented is presented, which shows the applicability of the theory of globally critical slip field.

在边坡稳定性分析时,通常采用单一的最小安全系数及其对应的临界滑动面表示边坡稳定性程度和潜在破坏范围,而忽略了安全系数稍大但潜在破坏范围更广或工程意义更重要的滑动面。临界滑动场方法不仅能够方便准确地逼近出任意形状临界滑动面,而且将所有其它危险滑动面同时显示出来,以剩余推力表示其稳定程度。本文在此基础上进行改进,提出边坡全局临界滑动场理论与建立方法。所有出口的任意形状局部临界滑动面及其安全系数都能在全局临界滑动场中反应出来,这样有利于全面合理地评价边坡的稳定性。文中将此理论验算了试验路堤,与实测结果吻合很好。最后给出工程应用实例,表明边坡全局临界滑动场理论具有一定的工程实用性。

A computation technique to construct critical slip fields of rock slopes is proposed, Which takes account of characteristics of rock masses, such as discontinuity, anisotropy and non linear failure criteria.This technique has been applied to the design of the open pit slope at Erkou Mine and high efficiency and accuracy have been achieved.

针对岩体介质的特殊性如不连续性、各向异性及非线性破坏准则, 提出建立岩体边坡临界滑动场的计算方法; 并将其应用于峨口铁矿露天边坡的设计, 大大提高了设计工作效率与计算精度
