Pyrolysis of ethane and propane will liberate ethylene, a valuable and basic material for the synthesis of organic chemicals.As far as we know there is no appropriate method to get the designing parameters of pyrolysis furnace such as the heat flux pattern other than liy the emprical rules commonly used.This paper will present a rigorous method of designing a pyrolysis furnace for this purpose.Based upon Hottels idea, the zone method is adopted for calculating the radiative heat transmission. Taking it briefly, the whole system is divided into surface zones and gas zones separately. The temperature profiles in a furnace are described by solving a series of energy balance equations in each zone simultaneously.Due considerations of these factors concerned such as reaction kinetics, convective heat transfer and pressure drop was taken the distribution of the resulting material as well as the temperature distribution of processing gas, flue gas, tube surface and the surface of the refractory wall in the reactor could be predicted appropriately.A comparison was made and which reveals that the calculating results obtained with this method check well with the data actually taken from the working plant in practice.

An instantaneous homogeneous complex reaction is essentially an unsteady-state diffusion-reaction process, in which product distribution depends upon the degree of micromixing of the reactants. A dual-sphere model is here developed. By taking a competitive second-order reaction system as an example and using an appropriate computational method, the influences of different parameters on the result of reaction have been simulated and discussed.

In this paper, the Lobo - Evans's secotional metnod was used to modelthe radiant chamber of a furnace for light hydrocarbon pyrolysis with steam. By this method, we have obtained results on a one - dimensional temperatureprofile of flame in the radiant chamber, heat flux of the furnace tube, thetube wall temperature profile along the tube length, and the pyrolysisproduct distributions. The results can be applied to the design and operationcontrol of pyrolysis furnaces.

本文用罗伯—依万斯分区法模拟计算了烃类蒸汽裂解炉辐射室的工况。计算所得的辐射室一维烟气温度分布、炉管热强度和管壁温度沿管长的分布,以及产品分布等,对裂解炉的设计和操作有一定的参考价值。
