In this paper,research progress in germplasm resources and breeding of mulberry in China is given a brief introduction.In addition,prospects of studies on mulberry germplasm resources and breeding in the 21 st century are discussed.The bio technology is considered as the most important way for development and utilization of mulberry germplasm.

It can supply foundation for mulberry breeding in constant goal genotype selection and improving culture method by studying relationship among characters related to leaf yield of mulberry and making passage analysis.By using twenty-one kinds of mulberry varieties as material,correlation analyses among the variables of autumn shoot length of a plant(x 1),shoot number of a plant(x 2),leaf yield per metre length of shoot(x 3),leaf number per kilogram(x 4),internode length(x 5),and passage analysis of x 1,x 2,x 3,x 4,x 5 with leaf yield of a plant(y) and analysis of two-regression were made.Through the correlation coefficient of properties with leaf yield a plant(y),we found|r 4y |>|r 3y |>|r 1y |>|r 5y |>|r 2y |,among these correlation coefficient,r 4y ,r 3y with r 1y reached extreme significant level.

研究与桑树产叶量相关性状间的相关关系并进行通径分析 ,可为桑树育种在一定目标的基因型选择以及改进栽培方法提供依据。以 2 1个桑品种为材料 ,对秋季株条长 (x1)、株条数 (x2 )、米条长产叶量 (x3 )、公斤叶片数(x4)、节距 (x5)与株产叶量 (y)进行了各变量间的相关分析 ,以及x1、x2 、x3 、x4、x5对株产叶量 (y)的通径分析 ,并进行了二次回归分析。从各性状同株产叶量的相关系数看 ,|r4y|>|r3y|>|r1y|>|r5y|>|r2y|,其中r4y、r3y与r1y达到极显著水平。
