Some solutions to this problem are proposed in order to strengthen the integration of English education in the last part of this paper.

2003年4月教育部颁布的《普通高中英语课程标准》(实验)体现了全新的英语教育教学理念,其中处处都闪烁着整体教育的思想。但近几十年来英语教育的问题之一却正是对英语教育整体性的拆解。鉴于此,本文从宏观和微观两个层面探讨整体被拆解的表现和原因,分析了英语教育具有整体性的特征,为加强英语教育整体性提出若干建议,力求为当前的英语教学,特别是中学英语教学提供一定的理论参考。

对比刚刚研制完成的《高中英语课程标准》和《大学英语课程教学要求》 ,不难发现 ,前者对高中毕业生提出的英语能力要求已和后者提出的“一般要求”不相上下 ;高中英语课程设置几乎把大学英语的课程设置全部移植了过去。这就产生了一个问题 ,大学英语教学何去何从 ?文章通过对社会需要和学生基础的分析 ,提出了大学英语应调整课程设置 ,逐步把重心向专门用途英语教学发展的看法 ,并就其和基础英语教学的关系、教材、教师进行了讨论

This paper clarifies the fundamental ideas and theories underlying the newly issued middle school EFLT criteria by the State Education Ministry. It also highlights the remarkable characteristics of this new standard for the middle EFLT in China.

本文阐释了《普通高中英语课程标准 (实验 )》的基本理念和理论依据 ,指出新的课程标准为英语教育确立了一个积极丰富的人文教育方向、富有时代特色的教学目标、先进的学习方式和科学的评价模式 ,体现了国内外语言学与教学研究的许多新理论 ,如学习目标理论、教育学建构主义理论、二语习得理论等。
