H atom may hinder the recombination of radicalsformed after rupture of -C-N- bond. The main composition of residue is trimethyl-amine salt mixed with some amount of di methylamine salt. The yield of dimethyl-amine depends on the state of resin and medium. In nitric acid mediam, the yield of dimethylamine is greatly reduced.

GS=0.15 in atmosphere. The existence of oxygen may reduce the radiation stability of PPS, With increasing absorbed dose the heat stability somewhat rises, but the crys ta'ilinity 甪alls slightly. Alithough will be crossliflked and degraded simutaneously under the action of radiation its Gx and Gs however are very small. It is concluded that PPS is a radiation-resistance and heat-resistance polymeric material.
