The effect of typhoon on the critical frequency of the F2 region has been studied by using the observations made in 1969,1970,1972,1973.There are 21 observations of typhoon crossing or passing by Hainan chosen to compare with the simultaneous ionospheric data of the same area.It is found that there are evident correlations between the passage of the typhoon and the f0F2.It is indicated that the f0F2 decreases in the area right above the centre of the typhoon,but increases in the surrounding area.We suggest that the strong vertical convection in the troposphere caused by typhoon can change the local circulation system in the stratosphere and mesosphere,and this would influence the f0F2 (e.g.number density of electrons in F2 region) through the change of the height of the turbopause and the change of the ratio of atmospheric composition in the F2 region.The result of this work shows that the study of the effect of the typhoon on the upper atmosphere is an applicable method for the research of the coupling between the upper and lower atmospheres.

Analyses and studies on the seasonal migratory paths of these planthoppers in China were conducted by way of atmospheric current analy-sis,in the meantime informations of alpine nets and light traps recordedin various localities were lalso considered.The seasonal variations ofatmospheric currents were of great importance in inducing different ro-utes of migrations which may be generalized into 4 divisions,namely,northward migration in spring,northward migration in summer,back-ward migration in autumn and the migration influenced by typhoon.

in this paper,on the basis of analysing for 37 most considerable typhoon surges obtaioed from the tidal observatory at Huangpu Park in Shanghai in the period of 1905—81,we have come to the conclusion that the major facto- rs which have an effect on the initiation and formation of typhoon surges in this area are their track,intensity,incident angle and transiational speed etc.By means of synoptic method,we choose the factors which are the most serious and worst ones,from those mentioned above and constitute a model typhoon.Its centre is situated in the sea surface of the mid-north of zhijiang Province.It has the minimum sea level pressure 921 mb,translational speed about 30 km/h.And the incident angle about 70.The probable highest high water level at shanghai Harbour calculated from this model typhoon is relia- ble as compared with the historical data in the past 5 hundred years in this area.Therefore,its occurrence may be possible.

本文通过对黄浦公园验潮站自1905年到1981年的37次显著的台风暴潮分析,得出这样的结论:引发和影响上海港台风暴潮的主要因素是台风路径、台风强度、台风登陆时的入射角和台风行速等等。运用天气学方法,从这些因素中选出最恶劣最严重的组合成模式台风,其中心位于浙江中北部海面,最低海平面气压为921毫巴,行速约30公里/时和登陆入射角约70度等等。根据模式台风所计算。出来的上海港在台风影响下可能最高潮位,与过去五百年的历史资料比较是可信的,因而是有可能出现的。
