The government of the academic year system practised by institutions of higher learning is a management system hat corresponded to the planned economy system in our country.With the development of market economy,this system has shown its obvious disadvantages.However,the credit system is a management system implemented by colleges and universities,which aims to develop students into talents of high quality and of verszatility by motivating students,faily recognizing their individual characteristics,teaching them according to their aptitude and introducing the flexible,lively,energetic and competitive mechanism.The change of the two systems is a complex project.It requires an overall arrangement,which can be made in terms of the following matters:(1)further improve the curriculum construction and management;(2)and inforce the construction of hard wares and softwares in terms of management;(3) promote teaching research, summerization,experience exchanging and mutual development.
