The propagation of intensity-modulated signal in an cascaded optical amplifier conventional simple mode fiber system is numerically analyzed, taking self-phase modulation (SPM), group-velocity dispersion (GVD), amplifier spontaneous emission (ASE) into account. The effect of GVD and SPM are reduced by dispersion compensation fibers (DCF's). The simulation show if dispersion is well-compensated and amplifier spacing is decreased to 50 km, the distance 2 050 km is possible with errorfree.

本文数值模拟了强度调制光信号在级联光纤放大原常规SMF通信系统中的传输,在模拟中主要考虑了自相位调制、群速色散和ASE噪声。我们使用负色散补偿光纤去补偿群达色散和自相位调制。结果表明如果色散得到很好的补偿,当放大器的间距减少到50km时,无误码2050km传输是可能的。

Employing optical sources with different wavelength as the input optical signals of WDM system, the phenomenon of four wave mixing in the experiment is analyzed. The amplitudes of four wave mixing in different optical fiber chains are compared. In order to decrease the four wave mixing effect, the fiber with zero dispersion wave close to the signal optical pulse should be put far away Er doped fiber amplifier in each amplifier spacing. The experimental phenomena are theoretically analyzed.

采用不同波长和类型的光源作为入射光信号,对色散位移光纤中的四波混频进行了实验研究。实验比较了不同色散位移光纤链组合时产生的四波混频信号的大小,研究表明,为了减小四波混频,应该在每一放大器间距内将零色散点波长距信号光波长较远的光纤铺在最接近掺铒光纤放大器处,而零色散点波长距信号光波长较近的光纤应该远离掺铒光纤放大器。对实验中的各种现象进行了理论分析,提出了一些减小四波混频的有益建议,实验结果和理论分析基本一致。
