Its spectrum has been explained quantummechanically by Cramer and Herbst and by Murakami using a one-dimensional free-electron model. But they obtained only the first absorption band, while it has been found, experimentally that there are at least two or possibly three more bands in the ultraviolet region (See Fig. 4, p. 22).In the present investigation we have proposed a three-dimensional free-electron model in which the valence electrons of the conjugate iodine chain are assumed to move freely in a cylinder whose length is equal to that of the iodine-chain and whose diameter is equal to that of the effective internal diameter of the amylose helix. The results obtained were in good agreement with the experimental observations.

Eight iodophors were prepared and analysed.The observations of their stability,solu- bility and germicidal activity were performed.These complexes can overcome the weakness of iodine and possess the advantages of high solubility and stability,low irritation and yel- low staining.So it can be applied widely in hospital and sanitary antiepidemic disinfection. Biological experiments showed that all these complexes exhibited stronger germicidal activity against the spore of Bacillus anthracoides in vitro than PVP-I.The killing rate of three of them was 99.99%,that of another two was 99.90% when tested in a concen- tration of 400ppm and at a reaction time of 60 minutes. Iodophor is a kind of important drugs which can be used for disinfection and anti- sepsis.The relationship between structure and activity was discussed.

本文报道了8种含碘复合物(I_(1~8))的制备和分析结果,并对其稳定性、水溶性和杀菌效果进行了观察。此类复合物克服了一般碘制剂水溶解度小、刺激性大、易升华,有令人讨厌的气味和黄染性等缺点,具有水溶性高,杀菌效果好,刺激性和毒性低以及不污染衣物等优点,能广泛应用于医疗和卫生防疫消毒。实验表明,所制备的复合物对抵抗力较强的类炭疽杆菌芽胞的杀灭效果均比对照物 PVP-Ⅰ强。其中3个复合物400ppm 作用60min,杀灭率可达99.99%;2个复合物在同样条件下可达99.90%。含碘复合物是一类有实用价值的消毒防腐药。本文还初步讨论了复合物的结构与活性关系。
